Jones), Schump@linknet.net," Charles Brunson Parson(s) was born in Rapides Parish, LA about 1830-31. He married Mary Jane Rogers 2/7/1856, place unknown. Their children were born in LA. The children were Dennis M. Parsons b. 3/18/1857, Nancy R. Parsons b.12/15/1858, Almira Parsons b.10/6/1860. His occupation was farming and his real estate property was listed at $875 and his personal estate was listed as $600. His wife died one month after the birth of Almira on 11/5/1860. He re-married on 1/8/1862 to Nancy A. Cockerham. He enlisted in the CSA Army on 5/7/1862 in Monroe LA where he was paid $50 bonus. He served as a private and 1st sargent in Company K, La Infantry (Grey's). (Source: La Confederate Soldiers and Commands, Vol 3, Book 2, pg 76.
